Family Activities

JOIN US on Rally Sunday – the 2nd Sunday of September – when we gather to celebrate the beginning of our church school year, renewing our commitment to faith formation as believers and seekers on the Christian Way.

Children and youth are encouraged to remain in worship; we value their participation! There are activity bags to keep hands and minds occupied. We offer a youth-staffed nursery for any families who need it during worship.

Sunday school for all ages begins after fellowship time following worship. We have a class for K-5th graders and a middle school/high school class. The adults also gather to read a book or other lessons. Join us!!

For Adult learners: Join us on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for varying study focus and ALSO on Sunday mornings. Call the church office for a current schedule – 507-263-2901.

We honor our high school graduates in May. We’re so proud of who they’ve become and wish them blessings on the next part of their journey assuring them of God’s continued presence in their lives as well as our suppport.

We LOVE and APPRECIATE our Sunday School teachers.

We warmly invite you to be a part of our household of faith! We have quarterly activities for children and families. ”Service Sundays’ – an all-church hands-on mission project – are times of service and fun. We’ve made cards for service men and women, tied quilts, packed Christmas Shoe boxes, and assembled birthday bags for the local food shelf.

The church’s annual Children’s Christmas program is always a lively and surprising way to witness the miracle of Jesus’ birth into our lives. Join us in mid-December for this time of worship.

The Cannon Falls community hosts its Annual packing event on the Saturday before Thanksgiving in November at Cannon Falls high school 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visit any local church to sign up or sign up on line at www.fmsc.org. The Cannon Falls mobile packing event raises money throughtout the year and works to pack 100,000 + meals. YOU can help by donating to Feed My Starving Children at fmsc.org.

Halloween Party anyone? We’ll be having a ‘Service Sunday’ followed by party activities for the kids in October. Service Sunday is an all-church hands-on mission project after worship followed by a potluck meal. Come see what it’s all about!

We have an amazing group of 6th through 12th graders fundraising for 2 years for their next work camp mission trip in 2014. The students and parents return to us transformed by their experiences.
