Today’s Sermon “The Persistence of Hope”

Advent begins with words of hope from the prophet Isaiah, and Christmas ends with the hope that comes in the promise of the infant Jesus. That hope persists; it is a gift of the season which we carry with us in every season. The wisemen’s visit to Bethlehem makes that abundantly clear this year, when our hope in Christ is especially needed.
