Sermon Title: What Makes for Peace?

Scripture: Luke 19:41-44

Watching the Capitol building being overrun by rioters (not ‘lovable patriots’), with little or no resistance, while the legislators were trying to carry out a constitutional mandate, and the threat of violence thick in the air, I pictured Jesus looking over Jerusalem weeping as he moaned, “O Jerusalem, if only you knew the things that make for peace.” I want to remind us of what makes for peace in these hard days and this difficult season.
