You are invited! to join your friends and neighbors at the First Congregational Church for our annual Lenten Soup Suppers. Wednesdays, 6-7 pm, March 13 – April 10, 2019 in the First Congregational Church Fellowship Hall. Using questions, quotes, and conversation starters from Richard Rohr’s Falling Upward, we will explore how our life experiences, our relationship with God, and our relationships within our faith communities have brought each of us to where we are now and what might be next. Homemade soups, crackers, bread with dessert and coffee provided for a free will offering. All are welcome!

Grief Support Group – Grief is a unique and very challenging journey – you are not alone. We invite conversation about people’s experiences after the loss of a loved one, but sharing isn’t necessary to feel supported on your journey. This ongoing group, facilitated by Kathy Bang, a Hospice Social Worker from Mayo Health System in Red Wing, meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ. (Call the church office if the weather is questionable at 507-263-2901).  Park on 3rd street, go up some steps or use the ramp and come through the glass doors. The meeting room is just to the left of the entrance. Coffee and tea are provided to create a casual atmosphere of hospitality and safety.

Monthly Community Meal – The Community Churches Interaction Council (CCIC) of Cannon Falls sponsors a free Community Meal on the last Sunday of the month from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cannon Falls Fellowship Hall (see the Calendar to verify the date). Each month, a different church in Cannon Falls provides the food and serves the dinner. The church is located at 3rd and Main, just east of downtown Cannon Falls and is fully handicap accessible.
